Scoring Recap - Week 2

Question: Have we ever had a stranger first week of dates? Answer: No, no we haven't. Ben basically took Kacie B. on a hometown date this week, making for the most awkward moment of, "you better get serious right now or I will send you home" that I can remember. (Seriously with the home videos on LITERALLY the first date of the whole show? Wow.) Meanwhile, on the group date everyone went nuts (shocker, I know) and Blakeley put a big fat target on her back for the rest of the girls to shoot at. I put the over/under at 1.5 weeks before another girl plays the, "She's just a completely different person when she's with the girls" card and tattles to Ben. She's doomed to go home soon. But in the meantime, she is RACKING UP POINTS for Caleb and me! And then there's Courtney. We've had plenty of crazies on this show. (Example: Michelle from Jake's season and the Skeletor-looking girl from last year who re-crazied herself for Bachelor Pad.) But what makes Courtney special is that she is able to create a COMPLETELY different persona for herself with Ben. I mean, she is stinking good at this game! If Ben ever catches her in a lie, we're in for a real meltdown. I would say there is a 65% chance that she has stalked someone in the past. And not just minor stalking; I'm talking Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction stalking.

The scene of the night (and so far the season) goes to the kids talking about Blakely's play audition. Girl: "The girl with the...big...chest...I didn't care for her." Boy: "She was pretty good." Poor little guy. He has no idea how rough life is going to be for him because of girls like Blakeley. A perfect summary of the whole Mars-Venus thing. Well done, kids.

As for this week's picks, a lot of you were hurt by Jaclyn somehow managing to stick around. (Man, that girl is ugly.) Shawn ruined things for both Molly and I by refusing to even engage Ben in conversation. I'm so disappointed in her. Her elimination, along with Jenna's inevitable dismissal, means that 5 of us have now lost a contestant. My hopes of winning this thing are looking grim but if you picked Kacie B. or Lindzi, you're sitting pretty at this point. Well done.
